Priceline Agreement

Go Back
  • 22nd November 2017

A new Priceline Agreement has been voted up by a majority of employees and approved by the Fair Work Commission, securing improved pay and conditions for workers.

Following negotiations between the Company, all Priceline employees were given the opportunity to vote on whether or not to accept the agreement.

The result was 99% in favour of the new agreement.

The new Priceline Agreement has now been approved in the Fair Work Commission and will take effect from 9 November 2017 and operate until 30 June 2018.

Finalising a new Priceline Agreement is an important part of securing better wages and protecting fair working conditions. It maintains your existing conditions and entitlements but also incorporates new benefits for Priceline employees.

Wage increases

Priceline workers will receive:

  • 1.5% wage increase backdated to 1 December 2016

Employees working in even stores (PRIFE) will be paid these new rates as of the pay period commencing 12 November 2017 (on pay day 30 November 2017).

Employees working in odd stores (PRIFO) will be paid the new rates as of the pay period commencing 19 November 2017 (on pay day 7 December 2017).

Back pay will be made as a separate payment on 25 November 2017.

  • 2% wage increase on 1 December 2017

Employees working in even stores (PRIFE) will be paid the new rates as of the pay period commencing 10 December 2017 (pay day 28 December 2017).

Employees working in odd stores (PRIFO) will be paid the new rates as of the pay period commencing 3 December 2017 (pay day 21 December 2017).

New Laundry Allowances

A laundry allowance has now been inserted into the agreement. This means full-time employees will be paid a $6.25 per week allowance to cover the cost of laundering the Priceline uniform. A part-time or casual employee will receive $1.25 per shift.

Penalty rates protected

The SDA has ensured that penalty rates for working on Saturdays, Sundays and after 6pm on weeknights are protected in the new Agreement.
