100% pay at 18+ - it just makes sense
The journey so far....
Your union has had a huge year campaigning to stand up for the rights of younger retail workers.
In April 2013, the SDA kicked off a national campaign – 100% Pay at 18+ to make sure adults working in retail are paid the full adult rate of pay.
It’s been a huge 12 months. More than 40,000 people have signed up to support 100% Pay all over the country – in the media, on the street, on campus, in the polling booth and all over the internet.

Fair pay for retail workers is well on the way – in March the Fair Work Commission agreed with our case and 20-year old retail workers are on the way to be paid the full adult rate.
Our case is based on a clear principle: equal pay for adults doing the same work. Simple.
It makes no sense that some people are still paid less purely because of how old they are. That’s why your union will keep campaigning until we win fair pay for younger workers.
